Other info~ CLUCK has received many requests to extend our efforts to the county.  I would like to address those requests and briefly discuss the reasons behind our decision.  While CLUCK has lots of supporters and folks who have contacted their council people, we are struggling with finding people to assist at events, help with projects and attend governmental meetings.  Expanding our campaign to the county, and a second governmental body, with the work force that we have right now is not an option, as it would stretch our (wo)man power farther than it can go.  If there are people in the county who are interested in starting a CLUCK campaign to run concurrent with the city campaign, we would be happy to share info and resources.  Leave a comment or send an email and we will get a sharing session set up.  Thanks, Abi

Please share your info. Placer County has a 1 acre rule which I think is terrible. Two hens in every residential lot is what I’m all about. Thanks for fighting for chickens everywhere!

Hey there, we’ve got a group of about twelve people (so far) that have gotten fired up by yesterday’s news story about a woman in the County. Her neighbor turned her chickens in. We’ve got a little momentum because citizens have already been calling the County Supervisors’ office over this, and we want to act now. Please contact me; I’d love to learn from you so that we don’t re-invent the wheel, and so that (Goddess forbid) we don’t somehow undercut each other…
