Mad City Chickens event wrap up

12 08 2009

I want to thank everyone who joined us this weekend for our showing of Mad City Chickens.  It was a huge success!  We had almost 200 people attend the 3 showings of MCC, as a result of the show, we had articles published in 2 local news outlets and had TV coverage from 2 local stations.  Wow!  That’s a lot of coverage for CLUCK!

I had a meeting with my city council member yesterday, and he told me that he had received several emails and phone calls about legalizing urban chicken keeping that day.  Way to go CLUCK fans!  Let’s keep this momentum up by continuing to contact our council people, writing follow up letters to the Bee and other local media outlets and by spreading the word to our family and friends!  CLUCK will be having our monthly meeting at the Coffee Garden next Tuesday night at 6:00.  Please join us!  We are going to be discussing upcoming events and opportunities to help the cause.

Thank you again for making this weekend a memorable and successful event, Abi

I have spoken to a few other people who are interested in raising backyard chickens for pets and eggs only and was surprised at the interest people are dislplaying. i personaly have been a fan of the chicken since before the age of 5 i had a pet rooster named Johny and his wife was named Tuti. she was a small banty as well. would like very much to attend the next Cluck meeting.
